Custom Luxury Paper Gift Bag Manufacturer
Premium branded paper bags that carry your brand out the door. Rope, ribbon or die-cut handles, matte/gloss lamination, spot UV, gold foil and embossing on heavyweight art paper or kraft. The retail-ready finishing touch for boutiques, jewelry, apparel, cosmetics and event gifting — factory-direct wholesale with a low MOQ.
The Bag That Becomes Walking Advertising
A luxury paper gift bag is the most-seen piece of packaging you own — it leaves the store, walks the street, and re-enters homes. That is why boutiques, jewelers and fashion houses invest in a bag that feels as considered as the product inside.
Our bags are built from heavyweight art paper or natural kraft (157–210gsm), reinforced at the base and top fold so handles never tear under weight. Choose cotton rope, satin ribbon, die-cut or twisted-paper handles, finished with matte soft-touch lamination, spot UV, deep emboss or gold foil for a tactile, premium pull.
Produced in-house from printing to handle assembly, with tight colour control to keep your brand palette consistent across every reorder. Pair with our boxes and tissue for a complete, on-brand unboxing-to-carry experience.

Match the Handle to the Weight, Not to the Mood Board
Nearly every paper bag failure is the same failure: the handle was chosen for how it looked in the render, and the product turned out heavier than the render implied. Handle type is a load spec first and an aesthetic second.
| Handle | Indicative load | Where it belongs |
|---|---|---|
| Die-cut (punched) | Light only | Cosmetics samples, cards, short carry from counter to car |
| Twisted paper | Roughly 5–8 kg (12–18 lb) depending on construction | Apparel, everyday retail |
| Cotton or nylon rope | Roughly 15–25 kg | Multi-item gifting, events, anything with glass or a boxed set inside |
Published ratings vary by supplier and construction — reported figures for twisted paper handles run from about 12 lb to 12 kg depending on cord diameter and how the handle is anchored, so treat any single number as a starting point and test at your real weight. The number that matters is not the handle's rating in isolation; it is the weakest link between handle, anchor patch and the paper it is glued to.
Paper weight tracks the same ladder: roughly 70–90 gsm for light contents, 100–150 gsm for normal shopping loads, and 180–250 gsm with a reinforced bottom for heavy items. A rope handle on 90 gsm paper is a mismatch that fails at the anchor, not the rope — the cord stays intact and tears a neat hole through the wall on its way out.
Worked example. A 16×8×24 cm boutique bag carrying a boxed candle set at about 1.2 kg is comfortably inside twisted-paper territory on paper. Put two of them in — 2.4 kg — and add a customer who swings the bag walking to the car, and the dynamic load at the anchor spikes well above the static weight. That is the case that comes back as a complaint. The fix is not a thicker bag: it is a rope handle with a reinforced top fold, which costs a little more per unit and removes the failure mode entirely.
The Three Reinforcements Nobody Specifies Until the Second Order
Brands usually specify size, paper, print and handle, then discover the rest after the first shipment comes back with photographs attached. These are the three that account for most of it.
- Bottom board. A loose card insert sitting in the base, sized to the footprint. Without it the base bows into a curve under weight, the bag stops standing on a retail counter, and the load concentrates at the bottom seam instead of spreading across it. This is the cheapest upgrade on the list and the one with the most visible effect.
- Top fold reinforcement. The mouth of the bag is folded back on itself, giving the handle anchor two thicknesses of paper to grip instead of one. This is what stops the tear-through described above.
- Eyelets or knots at the anchor. For rope handles, how the cord terminates inside the bag decides the ceiling. A knot spreads load over a wider patch than a bare glued end; an eyelet spreads it further still and survives repeated reuse.
One counterintuitive note on lamination: matte film looks and feels more premium than gloss on a luxury bag, but film of either kind adds negligible tensile strength. If you are laminating for durability rather than looks, you are paying for the wrong thing — put the money into the bottom board and the top fold instead.
Quantity Tier & Pricing Benchmarks
Bag cost depends on size, paper weight, handle type and finishing. Indicative ex-works (EXW) tiers for a standard boutique bag (16×8×24cm, rope handle, matte lamination):
| Quantity Tier (MOQ) | Indicative Price (USD / EXW) | Recommended Use Case |
|---|---|---|
| 300 Pcs | $1.10 – $1.80 | Boutique openings, VIP gifting, pop-up and event runs |
| 500 Pcs | $0.80 – $1.25 | Emerging retail and D2C brands; seasonal collections |
| 1,000 Pcs | $0.55 – $0.85 | Standard retail wholesale, multi-store roll-out |
| 3,000 Pcs | $0.38 – $0.58 | Chain retail, department-store programs |
| 5,000+ Pcs | $0.28 – $0.42 | Mass production, lowest cost-per-unit |
*Prices are ex-works (EXW) and vary with paper grade, dimensions, ink coverage, and finishing. One-time mold/die-plate setup fees are waived on re-runs.
